Launching Mystic Accord – Seek and experience peace of mind

Back in 2011, a patient of mine asked me if I could conduct a hypnotic regression on her for her treatment. I respectfully declined. This patient had sought my expertise as a pharmacologist. As I was a former researcher at the prestigious National Institutes of Health, we had been trying different medication treatments to help her ease her anxiety. She had already been in psychotherapy before and this had somewhat helped her deal with her symptoms. I had a small private practice at the time and worked for the pharmaceutical industry full time.

I suggested she seek hypnosis with a trained therapist. She declined. She had already tried that and her preference was that I facilitate the session because she trusted me. I questioned why she would trust my ability to hypnotize her if I was candidly sharing with her that I was no expert in past-life regression therapy. She insisted she would feel safe with me and this trust was her driving force.

Reluctantly, I decided to learn this technique. While I had been trained in hypnosis during my residency training, I had no idea how to go about past life regression therapy. I didn’t even know—or cared to know—much about this except from my naturally curious nature to learn about everything. Seeking information, I found Brian Weiss and his work. I naïvely wrote to him requesting to learn directly from him as an apprentice. No response. Frustrated, I realized I needed to take a leap of faith and attend his one-week workshop for practitioners in upstate New York. My attendance there was an eye-opening experience. The technique was easy, very easy. I came back with much more than a simple technique, though. I made amazing friends who I am still close with to this day and have been able to add skills and a deeper understanding to my repertoire.

We as doctors tend to block out what we don’t know or what we don’t understand and yet, we will go the extra mile in the spirit of service.

How did this evolve and how did Mystic Accord come into existence?

My attending the training workshop gave me much more than a simple hypnosis technique. I was able to understand the world on a much deeper level and became profoundly aware of the conscious and unconscious agreements we “sign up” for ourselves, our loved ones, and our “not-so loved ones.” It’s easy to understand why we create meaningful and positive relationships with loved family members and friends but what if we had also chosen to have specific challenges with specific people and situations? Can you make conscious the unconscious pacts you may have made? What would you see if you looked past the veil?

These workshops help us:

  • Feel free to be ourselves
  • Have a deeper understanding of ourselves as well as about our life choices about family, friends, and business
  • Seek and experience peace of mind
  • Understand our experiences and lessons learned from a higher perspective
  • Make better choices out of freedom and peace rather than out of fear and anxiety
  • Use visualization techniques to focus on positive outcomes in relationships and experiences while undoing longstanding negative ones
  • Learn deep meditative techniques that enhance healing, well-being, and the experience of being One
